Where our news comes from

Newsdash is a Telugu local-news service for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Our news is reported by our own network of local reporters in villages, mandals and districts. Reporters are registered with Newsdash after identity (KYC) verification and training, and they are paid by Newsdash for every story we publish.

Our editorial desk also writes stories and publishes official announcements (government notices, weather, prices). A small number of stories come from a partner publication under a written licence agreement and are clearly credited. We never copy unlicensed content from other publishers.

How stories are checked

• Every reporter story goes to our editorial desk before it is published. Editors check facts, location, photos and language.
• Photos and videos are checked for re-use, editing and unsafe content; sensitive images are blurred.
• Stories that are false, unverified, promotional or harmful are rejected. Corrections are made openly when we get something wrong.

Reader posts

Readers can send local news tips and posts. These are reviewed by our desk like any other story before they appear in the feed. Readers can report any story or comment from the app.

Ownership and contact

Newsdash (newsdashapp.com) is published by SVSS. For corrections, complaints or questions about a story, write to info@newsdashapp.com or use our Grievance Officer page.
